More of the affordable AWDs

As I’ve said before, I will have a follow up on excellent AWD deals. As the safest and most effective vehicles to drive at the moment, I am convinced that having an AWD for your daily commutes is a smart decision.

The 2008 Nissan Rogue:

Having the platform of a Sentra sedan, Nissan Rogue is expected to offer excellent driving features. This compact size CUV is driven by a powerful engine and is configured to achieve the handling characteristic of a sports car. Its driver-oriented cockpit makes it similar to a sports car. Only, it has a spacious cabin and it has stow- space in the cargo area. To wrap up this car’s features, its 2.5-liter and four-pack developing 170 hp with Xtronic CVT powertrain says it all.

The 2008 Dodge Avenger

With the Racy NASCAR nameplate, a street legal sedan was introduced as the 2008 Dodge Avenger. With its bold styling and clever selections of accessories, this ride fits the mid-size class and it comes in three popular trim levels: entry-model Avenger SE, upscale Avenger SXT and sporty Avenger R/T. Every Avenger flavor is sporting different engines. For instance, the Avenger SE is driven by a 2.4-liter four-in-line for 173 hp engine while the Avenger SXT totes a 2.7-liter V6 engine that rakes for up to 189 hp. The R/T is sporting a 3.5-liter V6 tat produces 235 hp. And of course our main course, the Avenger R/T AWD package offers a great value for a family friendly car.

The 2008 Subaru Impreza

When it comes to sophisticated car styling, Subaru’s 2008 Impreza surely fits the description. This four-door sedan and five-door wagon offers a spacious cabin space with a twin cockpit layout. While it is available in excellent selections of trim levels, for a little more money, you can settle for this segment’s rally car version. With track independent features and independent suspension system, the turbo charged and horizontally opposed engine is tied to a close ratio of manual and AWD traction. The 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX is driven by a flat-four boxer engine that rakes for up to 224 hp and 226 lb-ft of torque.

The 2009 Pontiac Vibe

Bound for release next year, the cross over wagon AWD takes form in 2009 Pontiac Vibe. It is configured to mix the road manners of a small sports sedan with the cargo capabilities of a SUV with the fuel efficiency of an economy car. What else can you ask for! You can enjoy this ride in 2 flavors; the Vibe AWD and GT models. Both enjoys the power of toting the powerful and thrifty runabout of its 2.4-liter engine with 158 horsepower and 162 lb.-ft. of torque.

All-wheel drive has quickly become a must-have for this generation of buyers. Although not everyone may be impressed by its innovative driving features, buyers find it hard to resist its charm. As opposed to the reasons of not buying one, buyers will find hard time looking for the reasons why not to buy an AWD. Smart technology at an affordable price, who else can ever resist that?
