The Auto Tuner 2008 in Hockenheim is the year’s biggest performance competition in the car tuning industry. With Jörg Hardt on the wheels, TechArt managed to grab this year’s title in the 700 PS / 515 kW TECHART GTstreet RS division.
With the use of small series based cars as of Porche GT, Hardt’s team managed to set a winning lap time record of 1.06,811 minutes for the short course of the Hockenheim circuit in the GT class. Thanks to Leonberg-Höfingen’s 20 years of tuning expertise, Hardt’s high-performance Porsche ride sported a biturbo engine. This feature delivers for up to 700 hp / 515 kW at 7,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 860 Nm at 4,500 revs. However, the team’s height-adjustable suspension frame and tires were crucial to their success in the Hockenheim circuit.
Having Bilstein and Michelin as TechArt’s partner in configuring high performance suspension and tires, TechArt team has successfully prepared its GT2 as well as its GTstreet Cabriolet entry in adapting to the short course of Hockenheim circuit.
